The Backdrop
Client: A global accounting and consulting firm
Industry: Consulting
Timeline: 8 weeks (2024)
My Role: Lead Designer
What the Client Needed
The firm wanted a way to inspire younger, less experienced consultants to raise the bar in how they show up for clients. Traditional internal comms weren’t cutting it- they needed something that felt real, human, and memorable.
The goal was to tell true stories about consultants who went above and beyond, in a way that would resonate emotionally and set a clear example of what great work actually looks like.

How I Helped
I illustrated and animated a two-part series of hand-drawn story videos, each built around a real consultant’s experience. I worked closely with a video producer to film the opening and closing segments, where the storyteller speaks directly to the audience.
Using the recorded voiceovers as my foundation, I hand-drew every frame of the narrative to match the cadence, pacing, and emotional beats of the speaker. I chose a loose, sketchy animation style to add warmth, humanity, and a bit of humor—making the stories feel approachable rather than overly polished. Each video took about 60 hours to animate, with care put into every moment of the story.

What Changed
The videos were shared firm-wide with hundreds of consultants and became a clear signal of what the firm values: courage, care, and going beyond what’s expected. Instead of abstract guidance, younger consultants could see what great work looks like through real stories told by their leaders.
The hand-drawn style and storytelling format helped the message land emotionally, making the stories memorable and reinforcing a culture of ownership and excellence.
